The variety belongs to dormancy group 9, which determines its intensive fall growth and reduced winter hardiness. Plants form a dense stand due to the open plant type, semi-erect stems, and a high leaf-to-stem ratio.

The produce is characterized by good digestibility and high protein content. The variety shows resistance to spotted alfalfa aphid and blue alfalfa aphid, Phytophthora root rot, and also possesses high drought tolerance.
