The variety was created based on regional folk forms (landraces). At present, it has been excluded from the National List of varieties of Hungary due to the cessation of seed production.
Studies have revealed the variety's susceptibility to the fungus Fusarium oxysporum, particularly noticeable in the spring of the second year of plant life under irrigation. This variety was also used as a subject for genetic research and comparative trials.
