The variety was developed through repeated selection of hybrid populations from clonal genotypes with high general combining ability. The object was previously listed under breeding number 33/12.
The plant possesses high winter hardiness (96–98%) and resistance to lodging. The variety shows low susceptibility to diseases and pests and is distinguished by consistently high yields of green mass and dry matter.
The crop is recommended for wide use, being particularly effective on soils with a pH level of 5.0–5.5.
