The Robot variety was bred in the Lodi area, Northern Italy. It is adapted to the conditions of the northwestern part of the Po Valley with sandy loam and loam soils under irrigation.
In scientific studies, the variety was used for comparative analysis of seed productivity and quality depending on irrigation regimes and cutting systems. Detailed morphological characteristics of the variety are absent from open sources.
