The variety is a synthetic population obtained from selected types of Pannonian alfalfa and European varieties. Plants have medium height, an upright bush, and a strong stem. Flower color is predominantly light violet or moderately violet, with dark blue shades occurring less frequently.
The variety is characterized by extremely high drought resistance and a moderately fast regrowth rate after mowing. Selection work on the variety was aimed at increasing stand longevity and improving the leafiness index, which determines the ratio of leaf mass to stems.
The variety is used as a forage crop for the production of green mass, hay, and haylage, serving as quality feed for ruminants, horses, and pigs. The crop is perennial and allows for multiple cuts during the growing season.
