The variety was obtained through phenotypic selection based on northern ecotypes. It is intended for the production of high-quality forage, including hay and silage. The plant is distinguished by very thin stems and abundant leafiness, which allows for reduced leaf loss during harvesting.
The variety possesses high productivity and stable yields, and is characterized by rapid regrowth in spring and a high rate of recovery after cutting. The produce is distinguished by high protein content and good digestibility.
The plant possesses good resistance to nematodes, is hardy to pathogens and unfavorable soil and climatic conditions. The variety is distinguished by longevity, maintaining productivity for 5–6 years.
