The variety belongs to the mid-early group; the period from spring vegetation to the first cut takes from 44 to 61 days. The bush is erect and compact with stems of medium branching; the leaves have an elliptical shape with slight pubescence. Inflorescences are ovoid racemes with variegated flowers.
The plant possesses high winter hardiness and is resistant to root rots, lodging, and a number of diseases, including rust, phoma leaf spot, and brown leaf spot. Leafiness of the variety reaches 60%; the nutrient content in the budding phase is 0.85–0.88 feed units and 167–180 g of digestible protein per 1 kg of dry matter.
The variety is intended for haymaking for 3–4 years and is suitable for intensive mowing. It is distinguished by high seed productivity; in southern regions, it is capable of forming a seed yield in the year of sowing.
