The variety is intended for hay production, dehydration for grass meal, and green fodder harvesting. The fall dormancy level of the variety is comparable to that of the Saranac variety.
During trials, the variety showed high seed productivity of up to 120 g/m² and an average of 22.2 racemes per stem. Resistance to bacterial wilt corresponds to the Vernal variety, and to Phytophthora root rot — to the Agate variety; moderate resistance to anthracnose and Fusarium wilt was also noted.
