The variety belongs to the type of Oriental aromatic tobaccos intended for sun curing. It was created by specialists at the Scientific Tobacco Institute in Prilep and is used in the industry for blending due to its aromatic qualities.
During research, the variety is often used as an object for studying the inheritance of traits and the manifestation of heterosis when crossed with large-leaf tobacco types, such as Burley. The morphological characteristics of the plant, including the number and size of leaves, are recorded in a number of specialized publications.
The yields of dry leaf mass for this variety are lower than those of the large-leaf types used in experimental crosses. Detailed data on the growing season, resistance to diseases, and lodging are not presented in open scientific materials.
