The variety belongs to the Burley type and is intended for the production of raw tobacco. Its modifications Čulinec 1 and Čulinec 2 also appear in official registers. The variety shows high productivity when grown on alluvial soils; with intensive agrotechnology, the dry leaf yield reaches 2200–3200 kg/ha.

The plant actively accumulates dry mass in the period between 50 and 70 days after planting. The finished leaf is characterized by a specific aroma and good burning performance. The quality of the raw material is maintained using various drying methods, including traditional air-curing and bulk-curing.
