The plant belongs to the Burley type and possesses a characteristic "spruce-like" growth habit. Plant height ranges from 1.76 to 1.81 m, and under favorable conditions, it can reach 3 meters. The period to first flowering is about 65 days, and the total vegetation period is about 110 days.

The tobacco is characterized by a strong aroma and high nicotine content. Due to the specific, enlarged cellular structure of the leaf, the variety has a high absorption capacity, which allows it to be used for the application of aromatic additives. The variety was traditionally grown in German-speaking countries and is considered a robust Balkan tobacco.

The product is used primarily in blends for pipe and chewing tobacco, as well as in cigarette blends.
