The variety belongs to the type of tobacco intended for flue-curing. It was developed by breeders within the framework of programs for breeding first-generation hybrids possessing immunity to downy mildew.

Resistance to blue mold was achieved through the use of the parental line GV 3 in the breeding process. Crossing with the American variety NC 13 made it possible to ensure satisfactory quality indicators of the product.
