The variety is a Virginia-type (flue-cured) hybrid. Seed production is based on the technology of using cytoplasmic male sterility, introduced into the maternal line through backcrossing.

The plant possesses good yield and high quality of the cured leaf. The hybrid's parent lines were selected taking into account their resistance to Potato virus Y (PVY).
