Pallagi 5 is a tall F1 hybrid belonging to the Burley type. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth during the seedling period and upon transplanting into the soil. The leaves are large and have a characteristic dome-shaped curve; the number of technically suitable leaves per plant varies from 22 to 24.

The variety is resistant to potato virus Y, tobacco mosaic virus, and the pathogen of black root rot, showing moderate resistance to downy mildew and Alternaria blight. With sufficient moisture and nutrient levels, the yield reaches 3000–3200 kg/ha, while the variety demonstrates drought tolerance.

Used as industrial raw material for the tobacco industry. Due to Burley-type characteristics, the dried raw material has a good ability to absorb flavorings, which makes it suitable for blending smoking mixtures.
