The variety belongs to the group of oriental tobaccos bred in Bulgaria. In scientific literature, it is primarily mentioned as an object of breeding research aimed at studying the mechanisms of inheritance of resistance to diseases, in particular to black shank (Phytophthora parasitica var. nicotianae).

The variety is also found in publications dedicated to the study of the fauna of nematodes inhabiting the root system of plants in the Petrich region. Detailed morphological traits, leaf chemical composition indicators, maturity group characteristics, or agronomic parameters are absent in open sources.
