The plant has a rounded bush shape, which is reflected in its name meaning "green ball". It is characterized by a compact habit, which gives the variety a distinct ornamental value alongside its use as a culinary herb.

In a number of sources, the variety is mentioned in the context of descriptions of compact spherical plants. Although there are mentions of similar forms having bush dimensions of 30x50 cm and differing in yield, the main characteristics of the variety are based on its distinctive external features.
