Variety description

The plant is a compact upright perennial reaching a height of 45–75 cm, including flower stalks. Its main ornamental feature is narrow lanceolate green leaves with a cream margin and pink-purple shades, most pronounced on young shoots.

The flowers are small, four-petaled, pink with a dark purple center, opening from bright pink buds. The flowering period lasts from June to the first autumn frosts.

The variety is drought-tolerant, prefers well-drained, poor or sandy soils, and tolerates waterlogging and heavy soils poorly. In case of excess nutrients or lack of light, the bush may lose its shape, therefore pruning of flower stalks is recommended.
