The variety was bred by mass selection for hard-seededness from the Cadiz variety population. Plants have a prostrate or semi-erect habit; in the absence of grazing, they are capable of forming biomass for hay or silage harvesting. The flowering period is approximately 121 days when sown in mid-May.

A key feature of the variety is its high hard-seededness, which ensures the preservation of the seed bank in the soil for a long time. The crop contributes to nitrogen fixation, increasing soil fertility for subsequent cereal crops, and is distinguished by high nutritional value.
