The variety is an annual plant that was traditionally cultivated for green mass and as an undersown crop. During growth, the plant reaches a height of 20 to 50 cm, is characterized by almost complete absence of lignification and an average level of initial development.

The plant possesses resistance to drought and heat, while being demanding regarding soil moisture and sensitive to frosts and waterlogging. In scientific practice, the variety was used for studying morphological traits, symbiotic activity of the root system and genetic research as initial breeding material.
