The variety is intended for cultivation in saline soil conditions. Morphologically, it is characterized as a tall plant with extra long slender grain.

The plant possesses resistance to a number of pests, including stem borer, leaf folder, rice gall midge, and rice skipper, and is also moderately resistant to leaf blast and sheath rot. The yield of the variety is about 40 c/ha.
