The variety belongs to the mid-early maturity group and is characterized by taller plant height compared to modern analogues. The grain has a round shape and a pearly texture, possessing high resistance to overcooking while maintaining grain shape and the ability to absorb aromas.

The plant possesses natural resistance to rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae), however, it is characterized by poor lodging resistance. Due to its characteristics, the variety is considered a classic ingredient for preparing risotto, soups, paella, and desserts.
