Variety description

A perennial herbaceous plant with large cup-shaped red flowers. At the base of each petal are two dark purple-black spots.

Compared to the Scarlet O'Hara variety, Carmen flowers have a smaller diameter and a lighter shade of red on both the upper and lower sides of the petals. The variety is characterized by a late-spring or early-summer flowering period.
