The Casino variety is a compact form of Papaver orientale, reaching a height of about 35–40 cm. The plant's flowers are large, pure white in color with a distinct black spot in the center. The variety blooms in the period from late spring to early summer.
The plant possesses high resistance to powdery mildew, leaf spot, and leaf scorch, but is characterized by low resistance to root rot. The variety is intended for landscape design, including use in borders, rock gardens, mass plantings, and for cut flowers.
