It is a compact perennial succulent plant, the height of which is usually from 10 to 20–30 cm. The leaves are heart-shaped and have a deeply wrinkled structure, situated on long reddish or pinkish petioles.

The plant's flowers are small and inconspicuous, gathered in upright spadix inflorescences. The species is intended exclusively for use as an indoor ornamental plant.
