The plant reaches a height of 90–105 cm and has stems with a slight waxy bloom. The inflorescence is a dense cone-shaped panicle 4–5 cm long. The grains are light brown in color, shiny, 3–4 mm in size, with a thousand kernel weight of 7.0–7.5 g.

Grain quality is characterized by a crude protein content in the range of 18–20%. The variety is noted for good forage productivity in terms of green mass and hay yield.
