The plant is a climbing bean variety intended for cultivation on supports in open field. The color of the pods, stems, and flowers is characterized by an intense purple shade. Flat or flat-round pods reach a length of 15–25 cm and do not contain tough fibers.

The seeds have a brownish shade. The variety is classified as early-maturing, the period from sowing to harvest is about 70 days. During culinary processing, the pods lose their purple pigment and acquire a dark green color. Due to its appearance, the plant is sometimes classified as ornamental and edible.
