The plant belongs to climbing forms requiring support and reaches a height of 1.5 to 2.4 meters, although mentions of bush forms also occur. The variety is characterized as early-maturing or mid-early with a growing season of 65 to 75 days.

The fruits are stringless pods 12–20 cm in length, flat or rounded in shape. The variety is distinguished by its decorative appearance due to purple flowers and pods; it is intended for cultivation in home gardens.

It is known by the synonyms Magic bean, Blue Coco, and Purple Wax. The variety is considered highly productive and undemanding, although it is not recommended to consume the pods raw.
