Purple Queen is a compact bush variety of bean that does not require support. The plant reaches 30–50 cm in height and belongs to early-maturing varieties.

The pods have a straight, round shape and reach a length of about 15 cm. The pods are characterized by the absence of a parchment layer and fibers. The variety is resistant to cool and wet weather conditions, as well as to bean common mosaic virus and curly top virus.
