ActivePhleum nodosum L. · Small-leaf timothy
DLF-Trifolium (DK)
10 August 2026
The variety S. 50 is a diploid plant (2n = 14), which differs from the widely distributed hexaploid timothy grass. The plant has a pasture type of growth, is characterized by short stature, short leaves, and the formation of dense, compact turfs.
This variety is late-maturing and has a low tendency to produce ears. Due to low growth rates and low yield, the variety is not used for hay production, but it is valued as lawn grass due to its ability to withstand intensive grazing and form a dense cover.
