The variety was developed through many years of breeding based on 250 clones selected in high-mountain areas of the Bucegi Massif. To create the final material, 8 of the most promising clones were selected using the polycross method.
The plant possesses high environmental adaptability to extreme hydrothermal conditions. Dry matteryield can reach 12.7 t/ha, and the variety is capable of persisting in swards for a long time.
