The variety belongs to the early-maturing group and matures 3–5 days earlier than the Climax variety. The plant possesses high leafiness, good palatability, and a dry matter yield exceeding that of the Climax standard by 5–10%.
The variety is resistant to rust and various types of leaf spot, and also demonstrates high winter hardiness and resistance to lodging. It tolerates excessive moisture well, but is sensitive to drought and soil salinity.
Used for establishing hayfields and pastures, it is suitable for cultivation in pure stands and in grass mixtures with legumes and other graminaceous crops. Distinguished by high persistence when used in mixtures.
