The variety forms fragrant red-violet wine-colored flowers with a distinct red center. The stems are strong, resistant to lodging, and dark in color; the buds also have a dark coloration. The green foliage may acquire a reddish-brown hue in the spring.
Flowering occurs from July to September. The plant possesses high resistance to powdery mildew. It is used in landscape design for mixed borders and group plantings, and is suitable for container cultivation and cut flowers.
