The plant forms a dense carpet-like bush 10–15 cm in height. The foliage is small, bright green, and needle-shaped. Flowers are of a pink-purple shade with a distinct dark purple center.
Flowering occurs in mid to late spring. The variety is vigorous, resistant to diseases and drought after establishment. Adapted to USDA hardiness zones 2–9.
Used for landscaping rock gardens, rockeries, retaining walls, slopes, creating borders, and container cultivation. Attracts butterflies.
