The plant is a compact, upright, semi-evergreen shrub that forms rhizomatous suckers and has a bushy habit. The foliage is dark green in color and has an ovate shape.
Flowering occurs from late spring to autumn with upright panicles of pale orange flowers. The mature plant reaches a height and width of about 0.5 m. The variety prefers full sun, sheltered locations, and well-drained soils provided there is sufficient moisture.
