The plant is a compact, upright, and bushy semi-evergreen shrub, reaching a height of 50 to 90 cm depending on growing conditions. The foliage is glossy, ovate in shape, and dark green. Tubular nodding flowers of a raspberry-pink shade are gathered in panicle inflorescences.
The variety is characterized by a long flowering period from May to October. The plant features vigorous growth, moderate drought tolerance, and resistance to deer. Recommended USDA hardiness zones are 7–10; in regions with colder climates, it is grown as a herbaceous perennial with protection or pruning for the winter.
