Variety description

The variety is a dwarf form of Picea glauca with a slow growth rate of 2–5 cm per year. The mature plant typically reaches a height of 0.5 to 1 meter. The crown is dense and conical in shape.

Young shoots have a creamy-white or pale yellow color, which changes to bluish-green as the needles mature by summer. The plant possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zones 2–6.

The variety is intended for ornamental use in landscape design, including planting in alpine gardens, rock gardens, and containers. Possible cultivation issues include infestation by spider mites and fungal needle cast disease.
