The variety is the result of a breeding program for the selection of samples with improved characteristics. It is a clone obtained via the in vitro method, which ensures uniformity of plantings, unlike seed propagation of the parent hybrid UCB1.

The plant possesses high tolerance to the level of dissolved salts in irrigation water, as well as to the presence of sodium sulfate and bicarbonate in the soil. The rootstock is resistant to Verticillium wilt and demonstrates higher cold hardiness than the species P. integerrima.

The clone is characterized by intense growth and early onset of the growing season, manifested by earlier bud break compared to the standard UCB1 rootstock.
