The variety is a winter crop with a normal leaf type and "small blue" type seeds. In terms of maturity, it was characterized as relatively early, possessing good lodging resistance.
It was intended for use in the food industry and for export; when canned, it produced small pea sizes. Disease resistance corresponded to that typical for winter pea varieties grown under autumn and winter sowing.
