Variety description

10 August 2026

The Frisson variety is a semi-dwarf leafy type plant. In an agricultural context, it is classified as a forage pea.

In scientific literature, the variety is widely known as a standard model genotype. It served as a genetic basis for the creation of a number of mutant lines, including hypernodulating mutants used for studying the mechanisms of interaction between plants and nodule bacteria.
