The variety has a standard leafed leaf type and green seeds. Due to its thorough characterization, it is used as a model specimen in comparative studies of pea biological characteristics.

The plant was intended for field crop rotation. In modern breeding, the variety is encountered less frequently, as preference is given to leafless types with increased lodging resistance.
