The variety is a perennial plant traditionally used for landscaping shaded areas, for example, under tree canopies. The variety forms elegant, thin leaves and has a bunch-type growth habit.

A key advantage is high tolerance to a lack of sunlight. The variety poorly tolerates intensive low mowing, under which the turf can become sparse. This variety is a niche product for ornamental use.
