The variety «Roznovska» is a historical specimen bred in the mid-20th century in Czechoslovakia. The name is often associated with a group of varieties from the town of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. Due to historical features of taxonomy, the name may be encountered in relation to different grass species, including wood bluegrass (*Poa nemoralis*), swamp bluegrass (*Poa palustris*), and red fescue (*Festuca rubra*).
This variety is characterized by slow germination and regrowth, as well as relatively low productivity. It is suitable for pasture use and ornamental landscaping in shady places under trees. In modern comparative studies, the variety is often classified as susceptible to diseases, in particular to crown rust.
