The variety belongs to the group with a low, compact growth type. It is distinguished by high winter hardiness and the ability to form a dense turf. Due to its resistance to abrasion, the variety is considered universal and is suitable both for general-purpose lawns and landscape design, as well as for sports facilities.

Besides the specific variety, the name Compact is used to designate a varietal type of Poa pratensis. This group includes plants with slow height growth, dense tillering, and a compact habit.
