The variety Cynthia is classified as a lawn type of Kentucky bluegrass. In modern genetic studies, it is distinguished into the eponymous cultivar type (Cynthia classification type). Morphologically, the variety is closest to the variety Glade, but differs from it by an earlier heading date.

The plant possesses a fine leaf texture. During trials, the variety demonstrated good resistance to mechanical stress and trampling, as well as indicators of adaptability under conditions of low-input management.
