The Jenny variety is used in comparative studies of morphological and physiological traits of Poa pratensis. Experiments investigate the expression of the PpMYB4 gene, which influences the accumulation of wax on the leaf surface and plant response mechanisms to abiotic stress factors.

In comparative tests for drought and salinity tolerance, the Jenny variety is less tolerant than some other Poa pratensis varieties, specifically the Arcadia variety. Data on agronomic characteristics, such as height or disease resistance, are absent in open scientific publications.
