The variety was widely used for landscaping purposes as part of grass mixtures. The plant has a drooping growth habit.
During studies in the second half of the 20th century, it was recorded that the variety is susceptible to leaf spot caused by Helminthosporium vagans. Field trials of that period noted lower winter hardiness and disease resistance indicators compared to a number of other varieties.
