The variety belongs to the turfgrass group and is not used for forage purposes. Due to the formation of a dense turf, it is used in professional grass mixtures for intensive use, providing high resistance to mechanical stress.

The plant is an apomictic single-clone variety. As part of specialized mixtures, «Sunbeam» demonstrates high ornamental value, suitability for dormant seeding, and the ability to grow under low-light conditions.
