The variety is a hybrid of Populus deltoides and Populus nigra. The plant possesses a good growth rate at early stages, however, after 6–8 years the intensity of increment decreases. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and good adaptability to complex growing conditions.

The wood of the variety has medium density. The bark share in the total mass is 22–26%. Due to its physical characteristics, the variety is used in the woodworking industry, as well as a source of biomass for energy production.
