The variety is a Populus × canadensis clone obtained from a cross between P. deltoides and P. nigra. The plant has a columnar, upright form with spreading branches and is a male clone. It is characterized by vigorous growth, exceeding traditional varieties in a number of traits.

The primary purpose is industrial cultivation for veneer and plywood production. The wood is noted for its low weight and color suitable for processing. The variety is included in the category of clones with increased environmental resilience, exhibiting high tolerance to diseases and pests characteristic of plantation forestry.
