The tree at a young age possesses a dense narrow-pyramidal crown with a straight trunk and thin branches, which becomes wider with age. Leaves are 5-lobed, dark green in color with a blue-green tint on the underside, budding late, from the end of April to the beginning of June. The variety produces male catkin inflorescences.

The plant possesses high resistance to rust, canker, and leaf spot. It tolerates wind loads well, including coastal zones. It prefers nutrient-rich soils, develops well on loess, heavy and light clays, provided there is moderate moisture.

The variety is used in park construction, landscape design, for landscaping streets, and creating windbreak belts where a narrower crown shape is required compared to wild poplar species.
